These Customer Care Short Message Service Terms (the "SMS Terms") apply only to individuals located in the United States who choose to use Verifone's SMS-based customer care service (the "Service"). At this time, the Service is available only for Petroleum or Fuel Station Support.
1. Service and Opt-In
Verifone, Inc. and its direct and indirect parent and subsidiary companies (collectively, "Verifone", "Company", or "We") provide the Service. All Service commands are handled at 1.754.282.0045 (the "Opt-In/Opt-Out Number").
Service Enrollment Options:
- SMS Keyword Opt‑In (Service information and registration): Text START to 1.754.282.0045. You will receive a reply with information about the Service (e.g., HELP, message/data rates, and message frequency), and your number will be registered to receive Customer Care SMS from us until or unless you opt out. Texting START does not initiate a customer care conversation.
- Customer Care Call Opt‑In (one‑time message): Call 1.800.837.4366 and follow the menu to Petro or Fuel Station Support. After entering your 7‑digit Service ID and stating the purpose of your call, our Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) may offer to send a self‑help link by SMS based on your stated issue. Before sending any SMS, the IVA will request your verbal opt‑in. If you agree, we will send a one‑time SMS to the phone number associated with your call. After the SMS is sent, the call ends. You can then use the self-help link provided in the message.
Using the Service is optional and separate from other Verifone customer care channels, which remain available at 1.800.837.4366 and https://my.verifone.com.
2. Consent
By texting START to the Opt‑In/Opt‑Out Number, you provide your express consent to receive automated SMS messages with Service information (e.g., HELP, message/data rates, and message frequency) and to allow us to message you via SMS until or unless you opt out by replying STOP. Texting START does not initiate a customer care conversation.
By providing verbal opt‑in during a customer care call, you consent to receive a one‑time SMS containing a self‑help link. Your consent is not a condition of purchase.
3. Message Frequency
If you provide verbal opt‑in during a customer care call, you will receive a one‑time SMS containing a self‑help link and the call then ends.
If you text START, you may receive one or more informational messages about the Service (e.g., HELP, message/data rates, message frequency). Your number remains registered for the Service unless or until you opt out by texting STOP.
If you later engage with us via SMS regarding a customer care issue, the number and timing of messages will vary based on your support needs.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
5. Commands
All Service commands must be sent to the same Opt-In/Opt-Out Number: +1.754.282.0045.
START – enroll to receive Service information (HELP, message/data rates, message frequency) and register your number for the Service. Does not initiate a customer care conversation.
STOP – opt out at any time. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming your unsubscribe request, after which you will no longer receive Service messages from us.

For help, reply HELP to any message to 1.754.282.0045, visit https://my.verifone.com or call 1.800.837.4366.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to Verifone's Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information, including any personal information processed through the Service.
We only use information you provide through the Service solely to deliver and support the Service (for example, to transmit mobile messages and respond to you). This may include sharing information with our platform providers, wireless carriers, and other service providers who assist us in delivering mobile messages.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties except service providers acting on our behalf to deliver the Service and under contracts prohibiting marketing use. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Nonetheless, we may disclose information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property.
These SMS Terms supplement and are incorporated into Verifone's Privacy Policy, and Terms and Conditions for the Verifone Petroleum and Convenience Retail Site Solution ("C-Store Terms"). By using the Service, you agree to the C-Store Terms and the Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict between these SMS Terms and the C-Store Terms or the Privacy Policy, these SMS Terms control for the Service.
8. SMS Terms Updates
We may modify these SMS Terms at any time. Changes are effective when we post the updated terms on our website and indicate the "Last updated" date above.
